Congress leader's question to Shah, only 3 crores for promotion of Kannada language
New Delhi. The Congress party on Friday targeted Home Minister Amit Shah for promoting all languages equally in the country . The question of the Congress party is why the BJP government is spending only Rs 3 crore on the promotion of Kannada language, while a budget of Rs 640 crore has been kept for Sanskrit. Kannada has the status of the sixth classical language of India.
Senior party leader Jairam Ramesh said on Twitter that the home minister had said in his interviews that his government would work for the promotion of all languages in the country.
