Bihar Horticulture Department gives 75 percent subsidy for the production of high variety seeds of Makhana. The unit cost of these seeds per hectare is Rs 97 thousand. In this situation, the farmers are given a subsidy of Rs 72,750 per hectare on Makhana seeds by the government.
